13th Annual Charity Classic

Over 30 shooters enjoyed shooting a great layout of sporting clays at Upland Hunt Club in Davis Junction, IL to raise funds for WAVE (*See below for information about WAVE).

A fantastic lunch featuring pulled pork and great bucket raffle prizes and silent auction gift baskets rounded off the day.

In spite of the heat of the day, the participants seemed to feel the event was "very cool"!

First prize silver trophy belt buckles were the coveted prizes for High Gun Man and High Gun Lady.

*Today, the WAVE (Working Against Violent Environments) Domestic Violence and Homeless Programs is one of the largest in Illinois and the only domestic violence shelter and program serving Winnebago and Boone Counties. WAVE serves over 2,000 unduplicated victims, including 400 children each year. All services to victims and their children are provided at no charge. WAVE provides multiple services including emergency shelter, a 24-hr help or crisis line (815.962.6102), counseling, legal advocacy (at the Winnebago & Boone County courthouses), co-occurring addiction treatment, and children’s programming. Wave also prides itself on providing information and training to local law enforcement, medical professionals and the community at large on domestic violence issues.
